Travel between Cascais and Lisbon

Cascais and Estoril are reached by a short train journey from Cais do Sodré train station, this train station is the final stop on the Green Metro Line. A return ticket cost €3.2 and takes approximately 40 minutes. The train journey passes west out of Lisbon and through Belem and follows a scenic coastal route.

 

It is advised to get a seat on the left of the train for the outward journey to maximises the views. Estoril is two stops before Cascais and stops in front of the large Casino.There have been reports of crimes occurring late at night on this train line, if traveling late sit in the busiest carriage. The train route is perfectly safe during the day, apart from the musical busker's play.

By Car

To drive use the A5 highway, or if you want to enjoy an amazing landscape, use the national road EN 6.

By Bus

There are regular bus services but due to the ease of the train they are not worth considering.
